That's not a modem, that's your drawing tablet! You have to touch it with the stylus for it to do anything.

You'll need to get back into the artistic groove tomorrow. It'll be pretty touch-and-go after the loss of your drawing hand, but you resolve to find at least one nice, stylish thing to draw sometime. You'll have to be on the lookout for an inspiring memory or moment!
