WhiteDwarfWhiteDwarf: Why does this outpost have not a single actual design-intended place to sleep?

You ponder your sleeping arrangements, while sleep is on your mind. It would be nice to call this structure a complex (as NeutronNeutron would say), or base of operations (as RedDwarfRedDwarf would say), or a secret Redshift lair (as you would say), or even just a great place to live (as RedGiantRedGiant would say). The truth is, your team's actually just living in one of the frontier's many abandoned resupply and emergency medical care waystations for various spacecraft and atmospheric shuttles. You all picked rooms out of it to use as your bedrooms, but this was supposed to be just one part of a settlement and security base that never materialized.

The first thing you can depend on the Company for is cutting corners, and the second thing you can depend on is irresponsibly neglecting infrastructure after being paid to create it. That's why you're squatting a space gas station.
